Publisher Description

The powerful magic of ruthless Elvenlord masters has for centuries ruled the world. Even Shana, the legendary Elvenbane prophesied to deliver the oppressed into freedom, is helpless before such power. She and her ragtag band of outcasts, half-blood wizards, escaped human slaves, and free-thinking dragons have gained only a token victory against the mighty lords.

Only the long-forgotten Iron People, a band of human nomads, have escaped the tyranny of the reigning wizards. How have they survived through the centuries?

As the winds of change sweep the world, and as tensions seething beneath the surface of Elven society threaten to break into open revolt, Shana meets the ancient tribe. Could an age-old secret free Shana and her people... or will its discovery call down their doom?

"not as good at the first, but not for lack of trying.. it just left the ending as a cliffhanger, while the first could have been read as a standalone book. i did think the characters paired off into couples a little too easily/quickly, and without real reason to. but thats about it."

" Just when all hope is lost, we learn about the Iron people. I am so happy to read this second book. I'm returned to this wonderful land of magic, dragon and fighting for freedom. Shanna needs her ass kicked into gear a little though. I know she can do it. "

" Pretty good. A little on the boring side. This is not an author of action. It's more like scandal and politics for a different world. She is very good at creating beautiful and interesting surroundings. "

" See my review of Elvenbane. Boy howdy, the plot was pretty predictable. Funny how all of the primary characters found romantic partners in this book, at more or less the same time. Still a fun read, with maybe a smidge more character development here, at least in the one full-blooded Elven maiden. "
