" A brilliantly written addendum to Ruiz's "must read book", The Fourth Agreement. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Xavier Saer | 2/12/2014

" All of Don Miguel's work are gems and this is no different, an expansion of the unforgettable The Four Agreements. Don Miguel, now joined by his son Jose, explore the 4 agreements further and add a new dimension of wisdom with the 5th agreement. Filled with pearls of wisdom, it is a easy read and useful to practice in our daily lives. Highly recommended. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Max | 2/10/2014

" In the Fifth Agreeement, the "Messenger" for don Miguel et all is the "listener"--Listening respectfully to the multi-surfaces of self and other and perhaps beyond, to the Angels and into the "non-human" animal and plant realms, and wider still--into the songs of the rocks and molecules. This dictum to "listen" invites us all to embrace the ultimate challenge of the heart--opening to the entire Cosmos, in all of its mystery of design, at last, carrying us far into what we remember as Truth... "

" 5 Agreements seem fine. I just didn't appreciate the elaborations on them. Anything that claims some as yet unrevealed ancient wisdom is the answer to the worlds problems inevitably rubs me the wrong way. Does that make me prejudiced. Yes. You've got to be no one lives for ever and there are better books out there that I could be reading. "

" If you had read the four agreements then you may not find his book as enlightening but still a good read. "

" I kind of chuckle that a fifth agreement, especially after the popularity of the first book. However, this agreement certainly makes sense and Ruiz clarifies the first four agreements in simplier terms "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Candice | 1/18/2014

" I really love the 4 agreements, and expected to like this one just as much. But I didn't really connect with it as much as the first, and some of the things he says I disagreed with religiously. Still an okay book if you liked the first one. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Stephanie | 12/8/2013

" I enjoyed reading this book and it felt meaningful for me to read. To me it's deep and teaches to be openminded without making any judgements. There is more about this book that I thought was interesting. "

" This book was very hard for me to get into. It was very deep and everytime I would read a chapter I would find my mind wandering elsewhere. Not sure if I agree with the fifth agreement, but I guess it wouldn't help to follow the advice from this book. "

" Perhaps it's because I read the Four Agreements so many times that I feel like this could have been a booklet and worked for me. It's good that it covers the original book for new readers. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Greg | 12/31/2012

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Cecilia Zuniga | 11/9/2012

" This book offers a clear summary of the first four agreements and then adds in the fifth so that it all comes together nicely. Highly recommend it. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Adela Carmona | 7/26/2012

" I found this book to be a bit repetitive, almost a synopsis of The Four Agreements, with a final Fifth Agreement thrown in at the end. Always a pleasant read, but I was hoping for more. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Amy | 7/2/2012

" This book was not what I was expecting. The author makes some good points, but no new revelations. There is also no practical advice in the book. The book does have a few good examples though, and I found that the book allowed me to reflect on my life, which is always worth doing. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Carol | 6/1/2012

" Four Agreements was better. I was disappointed in this book. "
