Dying to Be Me: My Journey from Cancer, to Near Death, to True Healing, is the account of Anita Moorjani's miraculous and full recovery from cancer, narrated also by Moorjani.
Many consider this book an inspiration while listening to Moorjani describe how, after battling her cancerous disease for nearly four years, her body started to shut down, being so overtaken by malignant cells that had metastasized through her whole system. When her organs gave out, she was taken through an unbelievable near death experience. Here she claims she realized not only the cause of her illness, but her true worth. When she gained consciousness, she realized that her body had made almost a full recovery. The hospital released her in a matter of weeks, and she was entirely cancer free.
After many years since her childhood of being torn between rituals of culture and religion, she had difficulty making her own way while still being accepted by her peers and family. When she entered into the near death experience, however, she realized that she could heal herself all along, and that the Universe offers aid in the form of miracles that seem unimaginable. In this book, she shares everything she knows about illness, healing, fear, "being love", and the unique brilliance of every person!
Anita Moorjani is an ethnic Indian from Hong Kong. Her experience was documented by the Near Death Experience Research Foundation as one of the most extraordinary in their history. She had final stage cancer, and made a full recovery, even after being told she would only have a few hours left to live. For this reason, she wants to share what she believes are the roots of our problems.
"I read many books and this is by far the best book I have ever read. It's about Anita's journey in restoring her whole life back after her AMAZING nde.... It is her personal experience of her battle with cancer and how she thinks her lifestyle made her terminally sick - I believe it 100%, doctors throughout the world are gobsmacked about her miraculous recovery, to me it's certainly a miracle and it is the first case I have ever ever known where someone has made a full recovery of stage 4 cancer. She was in stage 5 a coma and died and had the choice to come back!!..... the book sent goosebumps up my spine from start to finish. It is touching, so real and such a beautiful read :))"
