From Outback Australia to London and Greece comes a captivating story of passion, greed, secrets and lies.

A story of passion, greed, secrets and lies.

Present day: A reclusive woman living in outback Australia receives a letter acknowledging a terrible secret from her past.

Thirty years before, she stole another woman's life. From the moment the letter is opened two women are on a collision course with destiny.

From the London pop scene, to the opera stages of Europe; from a tiny Greek island, to a stifling manor house full of secrets and deceptions; from the sun-drenched Queensland coast, to the silent outback; Angela and Ellie are two women both looking for something. One in search of her identity and her memory; the other in search of the love that she had and lost; theirs is a duet whose last note will not be sung until the heart-stopping climax, when a shadow from the past returns to claim them both. " I enjoyed reading this book. I felt that I was able to connect with the characters and therefore be immersed in the story. I enjoyed the many twists along the way. "

" I really enjoyed this book. It had some good twists that I couldn't figure out until they spelled it out for me. However, when they did wrap up how the two women were connected, it was almost too far fetched for me. Overall, a good read that kept me guessing until the end. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Grace Sheese | 11/18/2013

" This was a really good book with interesting characters. My biggest criticism is that there were parts of the plot that was just too convenient. Aside from that, a thoroughly enjoyable read. "

" 2.5 stars. Not my most favorite book by Kimberley Freeman. It was soooo slow the first third of the book that I had a very hard time getting in to it. I almost never finished it, I was that frustrated with it. It finally picked up, but only near the end. "

" Enjoyed Lighthouse Bay more than Duet. Good story but I didn't develop a love for any of the main characters. "

" This is a great read. It has a clever, intriguing plot, interesting characters and great settings. It does start slowly, but that's part of the pleasure of this book - to savour the gradual reveal of a plot that becomes so full of intrigue, it's worth the wait. "

" An enjoyable story about refusal to explore how the past influences life. Loved the travel destinations and like my own writng covers the span of many years. I wasn't too keen on the ending. "

" Whoa, this was long... 17 CDs. Well read, as always by Caroline Lee. Quite a big story, spanning decades across England, Germany, Greece and Australia. Nice twists and definitely engaging as far as epic novels go. Would give it 3.5 stars if I could, not quite 4 for me. "

" This was a great story about two girls, both singers, over a 20 year history. Not too predictable, and the story built nicely up to the big climax without being too predictable. I agree it's like Paullina Simons - but without the endless sex scenes. "

" Not great, I picked it up thinking it would be a light read after a few heavy going reads, and I just could not get into it. It took forever to finish. The last chapter was the best! "
