We all play roles at times. Wardwick of Hurog played the role of a fool till he reached adulthood, just to keep his father from murdering him. Now he must overcome the image he so carefully built and fight not simply for his birthright but to free the five Kingdoms from tyranny and the rising tide of darkest magic that threatens his world.

"Just finished this today, and now starting Dragon Blood. This was a fun read - an interesting, believable medieval-style world, a great main character, and politics that were less involved/confusing than the George R. R. Martin series. (Not that I don't like that series, because I do (at least the HBO version :) ) - it was just nice to read a book where I could just sail along and not worry about missing something important.) Thanks to SDR for letting me borrow it!"

" I was intrigued by the idea of someone who feigned being a fool, for years, to survive, and then has to change his image. Plus, it was fun. "

" Dragon Bones and Dragon Blood are two of my all time favorite fantasy books. I've read the books and also own the audiobooks and I have easily listened to the stories at least 10 times. I love the story line and the characters. I find it one of those stories that support your believe in good character and struggling to keep up the fight for good. A very touching and memorable story. " There are some slow spots, especially in the beginning but push through and you won't be disappointed. Its been a while since I've read a book through a male point of view which was a nice change. Ward is such a good man and a character you cheer on. I am very impressed with the world that was created even though the names are a bitch to pronounce. "

" It's been a good decade since I first read this series, DH wanted some fantasy audio books with a male protagonist, I already have an audible account so used credits to buy Dragon Bones and Dragon Blood. Though I remembered the rough plot, it was really good to listen to this series. The narrator is american, which is sometimes a PITA for us Brits, but was very listenable. DH and I have really enjoyed listening to them. "

" I liked this book a lot more than I thought I was going to. I have to admit I only checked out the audio version from the library becasue Joe Manganiello was reading it. The more I listened the more pulled in to the story I got. I can't wait until I can get number two from the library. "
