"The best rehabilitaion job ever given by a Target novelization to a televised story. Eric Saward takes the most infamous Doctor Who story ever and turns it into a dark, edgy adventure with plenty of black, self-depreciating humour." — Daniel (5 out of 5 stars)

" Eric Saward tried to spruce up this truly horrendous story with touches of Douglas Adams-style wit, but sadly this corpse of a story was beyond saving. "
