" Great book, but the ending starts a new book. I looked on authors website for the next book with the same people in it, but no luck. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Holly | 2/18/2014

" i love all of lisa jacksons trashy thrillers. they have a predictable rhythm but always leave you guessing till the end. i particularly love that she always finds a way to use the word 'sinewy.' it's ridiculous. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Katie | 2/16/2014

" I enjoyed most of this book. Suspense. Action. Some likable characters. It's a long book but that's okay. After all of that the ending is abrupt. And you are dragged along into another story. If the ending had been different I would have given this book four stars. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Cami Meyers | 2/12/2014

" Tried this author for the first time. Kept my interest. A former actress moves to to a farm with her two daughters to get away from Hollywood after her sister dies on a shoot. An obsessed fan follows her and women start to disappear. The women are killed in a very creepy way. His grisly work has just begun. Jenna is getting closer to meeting her biggest fan who really wants to see her dead. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Kelly | 1/31/2014

" I've read a few books lately that I've ended up comparing to Lifetime movies, and this is one of them. Light and relaxing, it holds your attention but lacks in true depth or substance. I liked the characters, the small town setting, the snowy winter landscape. However, I found myself only mildly curious about who the killer was - it could have been anyone. At 500 pages I'd say it's about 100 pages too long, although I wouldn't say that it drug on painfully. I'd definitely only recommend this one for reading during the cold winter months when you just want something fun and easy, not too mentally challenging, to curl up with. A small bonus - in the epilogue, it gives a little teaser for the second book in the series, which is kindof cool. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Nancy | 1/19/2014

" The book was longer than it needed to be. The author took too ong to set up the book and then crammed all the action into the end of the book. And then leaves the story as a cliff hanger for the next book which I didn't like. You should be able to solve a mystery in 500 pages. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Anagha | 1/18/2014

" a good read for sure... but a lot of repetition "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Christine Hasha | 1/10/2014

" Chilling book. Keeps you hooked. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Ginny | 1/8/2014

" Typical I read the second book (Fatal Burn) before this one, only problem was it made the last couple of pages unnecessary for me. The story was good, enough potential bad guys to keep you guessing. A little far fetched, but hey its fiction. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Jerri | 1/8/2014

" Very good, exciting until the very end. Can't wait to start FATAL BURN, the continuation of the story "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Jo | 12/10/2013

" Gripping and well paced thriller - a bit annoying in that it ended with a cliff hanger that started the next book, so didn't really have an ending. But enjoyable. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Danielle Gerhart | 11/25/2013

" I give this book for stars only because I don't think we got enough information on Jenna's love interest. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Rene Kaiel | 9/28/2013

" Good book, especially since it takes place in the Columbia Gorge. It got a little slow towards the end, but a good one....going to start the second in the series "Fatal Burn" here soon. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Stephanie | 6/6/2013

" So far so good - makes me cold just reading it. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Linda | 11/15/2012

" A great book as most by Lisa Jackson are. A successful movie star ditches the fame and fortune of Hollywood to move to the boondocks of northern Oregon. Thinking she is safe in the small town, she is in for a shock when murders occur and it looks as if someone is targeting her. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Jen | 6/9/2012

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Katherine | 6/27/2011

" Totally formulaic, you won't learn a thing from this, but it is a painless way to kill an evening. Mind candy, just what one needs in these all too serious times ;) "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Mary Church | 5/19/2011

" Good storyline but it dragged on...used the same phrases again and again -- got on my nerves. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Kathleen | 4/20/2011

" Preferred the "To Die" series so far but still a good story! "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Sue | 3/26/2011

" Had a hard time getting into this book because it was just like all her others, different names and killer, but about hald way thru it started to get interesting although I did skip over part on what the killer was thinking cause it was just about the same thing as her other books, "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Magiczna | 2/21/2011

" (+) Nice intrigue. After many guesses about murderer's identity I still was wrong.

(-) Everything else. Main characters were a bit shallow, some plots were unnecessary and the ending? Please! I could live withoug that useless epilogue. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Kathleen | 2/1/2011

I can't wait to get the follow up book FATAL BURN. That one also sounds fabulous. "
