Publisher Description

Former movie star Jenna Hughes left Hollywood for an isolated farm in Oregon to get away from fame. But someone has followed her-an obsessed fan whose letters are personal and deeply disturbing. While Jenna's already shaken up by what she's seen on paper, she'd be terrified if she knew what Sheriff Shane Carter is investigating. It's a shocking case that started with the discovery of a dead woman in the woods. Now two more women are missing, one of whom bears a striking resemblance to Jenna. As a winter storm bears down on the Pacific Northwest, a merciless killer's grisly work has only just begun. Jenna is getting closer to meeting her biggest fan-one who wants nothing more than to see her dead.

" Great book, but the ending starts a new book. I looked on authors website for the next book with the same people in it, but no luck. "

" i love all of lisa jacksons trashy thrillers. they have a predictable rhythm but always leave you guessing till the end. i particularly love that she always finds a way to use the word 'sinewy.' it's ridiculous. "

" I enjoyed most of this book. Suspense. Action. Some likable characters. It's a long book but that's okay. After all of that the ending is abrupt. And you are dragged along into another story. If the ending had been different I would have given this book four stars. "

" I've read a few books lately that I've ended up comparing to Lifetime movies, and this is one of them. Light and relaxing, it holds your attention but lacks in true depth or substance. I liked the characters, the small town setting, the snowy winter landscape. However, I found myself only mildly curious about who the killer was - it could have been anyone. At 500 pages I'd say it's about 100 pages too long, although I wouldn't say that it drug on painfully. I'd definitely only recommend this one for reading during the cold winter months when you just want something fun and easy, not too mentally challenging, to curl up with. A small bonus - in the epilogue, it gives a little teaser for the second book in the series, which is kindof cool. "

" The book was longer than it needed to be. The author took too ong to set up the book and then crammed all the action into the end of the book. And then leaves the story as a cliff hanger for the next book which I didn't like. You should be able to solve a mystery in 500 pages. "

" Typical I read the second book (Fatal Burn) before this one, only problem was it made the last couple of pages unnecessary for me. The story was good, enough potential bad guys to keep you guessing. A little far fetched, but hey its fiction. "

" A great book as most by Lisa Jackson are. A successful movie star ditches the fame and fortune of Hollywood to move to the boondocks of northern Oregon. Thinking she is safe in the small town, she is in for a shock when murders occur and it looks as if someone is targeting her. "
