    " A romance in the guise of an adventure/thriller. The author knows how to correctly sequence a story, but the dialogue was lame. Characters are constantly "tightening" or "twisting" their lips. And there is a frequent repetition of the word "dammit". I was wondering how I acquired this book as I certainly did not buy it, but, I tightened my lips and thought there is only one way to get this book off my shelf and that is to read it, dammit, and pass it on to someone who likes this author. "

    " 341 pgs. One of the many Eve Duncan stories - this one includes Sarah Logan and her rescue dog, Monty. An interesting addition to the story. I'm starting to feel like the series is getting a bit stale - seems like there's always someone who needs rescue, Eve is the ever-engrossed savior of some lost child, always looking for Bonnie. Sorry for the negative review. It's always well-written, so it does hook me in. And, I'll probably continue reading this saga! "

Her series featuring forensic sculptor Eve Duncan has sold over twenty million copies and was the subject of the Lifetime movie The Killing Game. About Kate Burton

Kate Burton, an Earphones Award–winning narrator, is best known for her work on Broadway in Hedda Gabler, The Elephant Man, The Constant Wife, and Spring Awakening, as well as on television in Grey’s Anatomy and Empire Falls. Her films include Big Trouble in Little China, The Ice Storm, Unfaithful, and Remember Me. She played the title role in Alice in Wonderland with her father, Richard Burton, on PBS.
