Publisher Description

A widow on a private island has the distinct sense she's being watched—and as evil closes in, she teams up with a former special ops soldier in this paranormal romance.

WHEN NIGHT FALLS

After her husband's tragic death, Leigh Kelly arrives on Whidbey Island determined to start over. Yet the tiny town of Chimney Rock is not as peaceful as it seems. Women have been disappearing, and Leigh can't shake the feeling that she's being watched . . . especially at night. Soon, she's experiencing visions she can't explain and fighting her attraction to a handsome stranger who seems to know her most intimate desires.

PASSION TRANSFORMS THEM

As the leader of the Team, a pack of werehounds forced to hide their very existence, former special ops soldier Niles Latimer is desperate to prove a man's heart beats beneath his predator's body. And Leigh—the mysterious beauty possessing powers she doesn't yet understand—may be the one woman who can help him. But Niles isn't the only one who recognizes Leigh's true identity. Something evil is waiting in the woods—and the hunt has begun . . .

"I am glad the blurb on the back of the book caught my eye. I thoroughly enjoyed Darkness Bound by Stella Cameron. This was the first of a new series and has left me wanting the others NOW!! It's kind of hurry up and wait with series which stinks but it does give you something to look forward to. There are a lot of twists and turns in Darkness, some you see coming and some you don't. It was a great first novel for this series. There were plenty of questions of "what's going to happen next?" to "Oh my, I can't believe that." There was a lot of introduction of characters that I assume are going to come into play in the following novels and I for one cannot wait to see how they come in to their own stories. It has something for every kind of paranormal lover out there, vampires, faires, werewolves, and werehounds. I am now in love with werehounds! Leigh Kelly I think is a good female lead she is strong but knows her weaknesses. Niles Latimer, who is the alpha of the pack, is the perfect kind of alpha to me. He was protective and assertive without it being too much. Darkness to me seemed to go by so fast, but maybe that's because I couldn't put it down. It finished out Leigh and Nile's story, but left enough to keep you guessing and wanting the others. The secondary characters are going to have just as good a story if not better than Darkness Bound."

" Not too bad, Stella Cameron is a good writer and story-teller. I think I'm getting over the Paranormal stuff though. I read this one and another paranormal back to back, probably should stagger them more. Leigh Kelly shows up on Whidbey Island determined to start a new life after losing her husband. She comes across Niles Latimer, who is the leader of a pack of Wherehounds. A group of wherewolves and a vampire are out to get her, and I'm not really sure still if the Fae people are good or bad.
