Dominic of the Dragonseeker Carpathians is on a desperate mission, in the very heart of enemy territory. Solange Sangria is one of the last of the jaguar people. "This is one of those surprise love stories. Both ready to die but when love becomes possible they embrace it along with their mission. Very well told. With the exception of "Dark Savage" this is my favorite. But none of the "Dark"books can hold a candle to the "Dark Savage" ."

" i've read feehan's "Dark" novels before, and i remember clearly why i stopped reading them. she used the same phrases repetitively, the patterns of the novels all followed generally the same track (as with most successful romance writers), and some of the sex scenes were almost complete replicas of others. i became bored and found myself wishing i was her editor, to push her to be a better writer. with that said, i picked up this book at the grocery store in desperation, because i can't go a day without something to read and the book store and library were closed. with my already formed opinion of feehan, i was not disappointed, nor was i happily surprised. she still uses repetitive phrasing and words, and the sex scenes are similar. the only thing that changes in these books is the characters, their stories, and the road blocks they face in order to come together. however, i enjoy the male characters she has created in the Carpathians, and so will probably ignore the irritants of her writing and read more when the moods strike. " Loved this book, main character focused while not loosing the element of suspense in the battle with the vampires. I want Dominic he is the ideal Alpha in my book. "

" This book was ok... just not what I've come to expect from Feehan. Usually her use of imagery makes me unable to put the book down, but in this case I felt it was dragging. I was definitely disappointed with the back story as well. I just never fell in love with the characters in this book. Solange was compelling, but watching her go from a strong female lead to a sniveling yes woman was hard to believe. All in all, i expected more. "

" I love this series, but it is starting to fade a bit. The amount of "feelings" conversation is getting to be too much, I want more action and story line. Don't get me wrong I enjoy the eroticism but I crave the story. - just finished the next book in line and is it more like it! "

" Fell a little flat for me, it was a good story and had the potential to be epic what with the Dragonseeker and the Jaguar princess and a clan of vampires but it just felt pretty blah. "

" Another interesting dynamic between the couple. Great action. I love how Christine details the action scenes. Although I didn't think she gave enough perspective from Dominics point of view. I was left wondering at times what he was thinking from a carpathian point of view. "

" I have been waiting for this one since Solange was first introduced. I had a soft spot for her, despite her hardend exterior. For the most part it was a great story, just think she turned needy just a little too quick. but I do recommend it as a must read. "
