Publisher Description

Dominic, of the Dragonseeker lineage - one of the most powerful of the Carpathian lines - is desperate to go to the very heart of the enemy camp and learn their plans. There's only one way to do so: ingest the parasitic blood of a vampire. He knows that it is a mission from which there is no return. With little time before the blood takes effect, he'll get the information he needs, relay it to the leader of the Carpathians, and go out fighting. There is no more honorable way to end his life.

Solange Sangria is one of the last of the jaguar people, a royal pureblood, a dying species that cannot recover from bad decisions made over hundreds of years. She has long been alone, fighting to save the remaining shapeshifters from the hands of Brodrick the Terrible: her own father, who slaughtered her family and everyone she loved. Wounded and weary, she plans one last battle, hoping to stop the man who has made an alliance with the vampires, accepting that she will not come out alive.

They are two warriors who have lived their lives alone. Now, at the end of their time, they find each other - an obstacle neither saw coming, and which neither can hope to ignore.

"I fell in love with Dominic and Solange. Their characters were written very well and I loved the way Dominic respected and cared for Solange and the way she loved and respected him. They were perfect Lifemates. The battles scenes in the book were so thrilling they had my heart racing!! I was also happy to get better acquainted with Zacarias De La Cruz and I hope his story is next. The story telling in this book was magnificent! The Carpathian society is Brilliantly written I just love the way Ms. Feehan has develope and written the Carpathain Males they drink blood they turn in to mist they can shapeshife, they control the elements in nature, I loved everything about them and Dominic is one of the strongest and oldest because of his Dragonseeker Blood Line. The story is fast paced exciting and very romantic and the battles are simply thrilling I highly recommend this book!!!!"

" Great addition to the Dark series. Solange and Dominic are perfect for each other. The oldest De La Cruz brother is no longer a ghost! Can't wait for the next one! "

" Definitely one of my favorite of the series. Dominic is one male that I would have no problems with being the lifemate too and Solonge is a strong admirable, women, who's not afraid to give Dominic a piece of her mind. These 2 work great as a team and couple. "

" This had to be the best Carpathian book so far. Dominic was the first of the Carpathians that made me sigh out loud. He is totally strong, and yet very gentle and kind to Solange. The book didn't seem rushed like some of the others from Feehan. "

" I love this series, but it is starting to fade a bit. The amount of "feelings" conversation is getting to be too much, I want more action and story line. Don't get me wrong I enjoy the eroticism but I crave the story. - just finished the next book in line and is it more like it! "

" It was a good book, but I don't think it was Christine Feehan's best book. I found Dominic very overbearing. Their chemistry did not work for me. Although it has an important storyline, I just wish it could create a bit more magic. "
