"This is one of her earliest novels, before she wrote thrillers. I consider it a romantic suspense. It has all the drama of a thriller and passion for a romantic suspense novel. Mary Lee Jennings leaves California to meet her friend Lucy in New Eden, Montana. Little did she know, she discovers her friend's dead, and learn the shocking truth of her secrets, putting herself in danger on living on a ranch life, and falling in love with a stubborn cowboy. A great read to enjoy any day of the year."

" Marilee is leaving her old life, boyfriend and career included. She heads off to visit her friend in Montana without notice. Upon arrival, no one is home. Her friend's cabin has been trashed and while she's is calling for her, a man answers, "She's dead". Was it a hunting accident or something more sinister. Of course, there's a recalcitrant love interest during the search... "

" This is one of Tami Hoag's better novels, I think. J.D. Rafferty is certainly far from being a romantic man to Mari Lee, but the story does have a happy ending. Also love the descriptions of Montana's scenery and everyday life on the Stars and Bars ranch. Good reading! "

" Normally if I don't like a book I just give it one star and don't comment, but this was so vile I had to say something. I cannot believe Tami Hoag wrote this. I made it thru maybe 10 pages and was just sickened by the cussing and sex and innuendo. I sounded like it was going to be a really good read and I was excited to begin it. Ugh, horrible. "

" I always love the way Tami Hoag writes. However, this one was a little redundant for me. The feelings of the characters was repeated many times during the book. To the point I was getting annoyed and telling the character to get over it already. However, once into the story the plot did thicken and it was much easier to read. I will still read Tami Hoag, I'm just not sure wabout this particular series. "

" I don't remember reading anything by this author before - and reading this book didn't convince me that I will read anything by her in the future. Do you ever pick up a paperback book and know just from the picture on the cover that the story is going to be "sappy?" Actually it turned out to not be too bad - still too many sappy parts but there was an actual plot and - even if it seemed to be a stretch - the ending wasn't too bad. A good story for a rainy afternoon if you don't have anywhere else to be except the couch. "
