Ian Maclean's arrogance hides a terrible secret - for decades he was held prisoner by demons. Not a day goes by that he isn't tormented by his darkest fears of powerlessness. Now he is about to sell to the highest bidder a page he's stolen from the Book of Power - if one woman doesn't stop him.
Slayer Samantha Rose's latest mission is to recover the stolen page - and get payback from the only man who's ever rejected her. What she hasn't counted on is the raging attraction between them - or her growing realization of what Maclean has survived. As the powers of the evil from his past gather, Sam will do anything to help him - even if it means following him into time and facing his worst nightmares with him.

"This was definitely the best of the series...I like Nick Forrester, and hope he gets his own HEA one day. But the best part of this book was that Sam and Ian were very equal. In the previous 4, my complaint was that we have strong 20-21st century women but in the face of the hotness of the Masters, they melt/swoon and are almost useless, despite the fact that the author tries to prove to the men that they are better with their women beside them. It never flows. Sam and Ian are good together and Ian's troubled soul is very real, whereas the hardness of some of the other alpha males she's written about was unwarrented. But this is definitely the best. I feel book #2 w/Royce and Allie was really good too, but this is the first time I've given Brenda Joyce 5 stars, and she definitely deserves it." — Laura (5 out of 5 stars)

" This was okay it was slow at the beginning but really took off at the end. I would say the ending saved the book for me. "
" Made me fall in love with Brenda Joyce books all over again! "
" I think this was the best of the Rose trilogy. I enjoyed the story line more of this book then the other two Rose books. But I feel the first two Masters of Time books were Joyce's best works in this series so far. I look forward to additional books in this series. "
" More hot scottish men and wonderful sexual passion. "
" At first I thought this was going to be a cheesy, lame story. Boy was I surprised! Ms. Joyce throws the reader into the fray from the beginning and doesn't let up until the very end. No formulaic writing here! "
" I really liked this book. It was exciting and very sexy! I love Ian McClean! I'm still not a fan of Joyce's writing style, but the story was great. Best book out of the series. "
" among the rose trilogy, i love this the most. a tough girl, sam and a boy with a dark past, ian. "
" This book has a very strong and capable female character which I love!! I highly recommned this book. "
" I'd probably really give this 3.5 stars, mostly because I prefer my historical romances to have more of an historical setting. Still I did like this book more than bumping it down to three stars. "
" Wasn't my favorite of the series... fell a little flat for me! "
" Loved this book & the main character Ian who is super sexy. "
" I LOVE IAN! He's the best there is and I just remembered why "
" I wish this series didn't have to end but the ending was good. I love all the characters in this book. Well except the evil ones. :-) "
" Hoping there is another in the series soon! I need more of the story love this book the end was a bit short I didn't get my fill. "
" Ian !!!! mmmm.... "
" I'm not a very big fan of promiscuous heroines and let's face it, Sam liked her men. However, I really wanted to read this story because of Ian's past. I did like the book but it was very hard to get past Sam's varied past. "
" Tooooo long and sometimes very boring. Yes yes I know this book is a little more different, but ...just boring me. That's all. "
" As amazing as all of the other books in the series. "
