" I liked this book enough that I will look for others in the series. I got it as a free book, and so I haven't read any of the others in the series which put me at a bit of disadvantage. I like the concept of the bookstore that she owns and the references to other mystery writers and their books. "

" I don't know why I always think I have to finish every book I start! This story is sort of a semi-grown up Nancy Drew. Characters seem shallow and sketchy. By the time I find out who did it I hope I feel as if I know some of the key players. It does flow and some descriptions are really good but there are much better stories out there. I have to rethink Nook's free fridays. "

" It has been a few years since I last visited Annie and Max...not sure why. I have read Hart's other series too, but more recently. I enjoyed getting back with the Darlings; good story, no heroes to stupid to live, no heroes thinking they would be better able to solve the crime than the local PD. A good, pleasant summer read. "

My frequent naps didn't help, but I can't say for sure that they were all caused by illness, as the book never grabbed me. Kept looking at page # to see how soon it would all be wrapped up. "

" My first Death on Demand book. I really liked the premise, the characters, and the writing style. However, I guessed the murderer's identity in the beginning of the book. I don't want my mysteries to be that easy for me to solve. I will try another though. "
