Born in Moultrie, Georgia, she has also lived in California, Hawaii, Alabama, and Mississippi and now resides in the Florida panhandle with her firefighter husband and their three children. In between books, Hohenstein spends time with her family and friends at the beach, where she enjoys paddle boarding, swimming, building sand castles, and soaking up the sun.
