Publisher Description

In Boston, a young woman finds herself pregnant--even though she is still a virgin.

In Ireland, another young woman discovers she is in the same impossible condition.

And in cities all around the world, medical authorities are overwhelmed by epidemics, droughts, famines, floods, and worse. It all feels like a sign that something awful is coming.

Anne Fitzgerald, a former nun turned private investigator, is hired by the Archdiocese of Boston to investigate the immaculate conceptions. Even as she comes to care about and trust the young women, she realizes that both are in great danger. Terrifying forces of light and darkness are gathering. Stepping into uncharted territory where the unknown is just the beginning, Anne must discover the truth--to save the young women, to save herself, and to protect the future of all mankind.

"Cradle and All is one of my favorite books that James Patterson has written. It has the perfect good versus evil plot, with many suspenseful moments. There are two virgins, who are pregnant, one is to give birth the Savior, the other the devil. The characters are amazing and there's the perfect amount of action in the book. I love that Patterson includes the Vatican in this book! He makes them seem very mysterious. Overall, this book is really amazing, and if you haven't read it, you should."

" Fanciful story of the coming of Jesus and the Devil child. Not believable, but still intriguing. Can there really be another Virgin birth? In this story there are 3...oops don't want to give away the ending. "

" I love the Alex Cross and the Women's Murder Club series, but several of the other books I've read by Mr. Patterson seem to be a little too way out there for me. I didn't totally dislike this book - it kept me reading out of curiosity to see the ending, but it certainly wasn't my favorite. "
