" While reading the book I could not stop laughing. When I read how she cut her friends hair and her own it took me back to when I was a young girl. I can rememeber cutting my hair and my mom getting so mad. Clementine has such a loving heart and most people do not understand her. She sees life in a different way. I really want to read the other books. "

" This is such a silly, fun book. It's meant for a much younger juvenile audience (those who like Junie B. Jones). It's just hard not to like Clementine. I read the whole book in about an hour. I can also heartily recommend the audio version, too! "

" I probably would have given this book 4 stars, but I think my expectations were too high. Clementine is a lovable character and her adventures are hilarious. I would recommend it to girls who liked Junie B. and are a little bit young for Ramona. "

" I loved this book! Clementine's voice was wonderfully written with so much "unintended humor" I laughed so hard when I read this book! This is an easy book to read but thoroughly delightful! "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Audry | 7/15/2013

" Cute, but too much like Junie B. Jones books. Clementine probably has ADHD, but in a good way, as in she has good reasons for what she does. She is in third grade, and is nice. She always says, "Okay, fine." "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Jackie "the Librarian" | 12/20/2012

" Poor Clementine, she really tries hard to help her friend, but somehow, noone appreciates her efforts. Similar to Beverly Cleary's Ramona books, but a bit more modern in portraying families. "

" I found Clementine a delightful, fresh character that actually made me laugh out-loud at times. It's a good reminder to me to remember that children do not always see the world the way that adults do. "

" Very nearly as good as Ramona! The first-person narrative makes it a little less genuine, and there are a few language affectations that might get a little tiresome after a couple books, but Clementine is a great character. I've already read some aloud to one of my students, and she loved it. "

" Great humor for adults and kids--it would work as a read-aloud to any class from 1st - 3rd grade. One of many in the series about the girl named after a fruit. She's the new Ramona Quimby. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Rachel | 4/29/2011

" These are really cute stories. I'm actually listening to them on audiobook and have been enjoying the narrator as well. These would be fun books to read aloud with kids, but I think some of the humor would be even funnier to adults as they get a glimse into the logic of a spunky eight year old. "

" She is a house-hold name around our home. Alyssa rates all funny books in comparison to Clementine. Kayte will only call her baby brother 'Coconut' (I swear she wasn't listening.. but the similarities are too strong). Laugh-out-loud. We loved it. "
