Derek Stone just turned 14. He's lived in the heart of New Orleans with his dad and older brother, Ronny, his whole life. He's a little overweight. He can't hear well out of his left ear....Oh, and he's on the run from the dead.

Derek never imagined that the dead could be anything but dead. But there's no denying it. They're back - and they're after him.

He just doesn't know why. And he doesn't have long to figure it out. Download and start listening now!

" This book was cool, but the ending sucked, just because it wasn't an ending AT ALL. Nothing about it had closure or wrapped anything up. It ended like a chapter, not a book. It's in a series, but still, it should be rewarding to read in itself. It's for young adults, about a boy and his father and brother, and their train crashes. Afterward, the main young boy keeps running into dead people and doesn't know why. I really liked how it was written, it was funny and felt real and had a sort of edge to it. I did really enjoy it and I do really want to read more of them-it was just too short and should've had a real ending. "

" I read this one in an afternoon, and immediately put the next one on hold. A really creepy and suspenseful ghost story/mystery. I like the character of Derek Stone, not quite an orphan but alone enough that you really want to root for him. "

" Derek Stone, 14, survives a train crash that kills his father and brother--or so he thought. Good debut of children's series. "

" Creeeeepy. Very, very creepy. Great book for the 4-8 grade market. I was lucky enough to read it in the bookfair format with the 2nd book in the series. My only complaint is that to find out what happens, you Have to read the next book - it's definitely a "to be continued" format. "
