About Thomas Goodwin
Thomas Goodwin (1600–1679), an English Puritan theologian, was born in Rollesby in the county of Norfolk and educated at Cambridge. Known as “the Elder,” he was the president of Magdalene College, Oxford; a member of the Westminster Assembly of Divines; and chaplain to Oliver Cromwell.
