On an outing to a zoo, a small girl is not surprised when Charlie the chimpanzee starts talking to her. He explains that although the keeper is kind, the animals long to escape to their jungle home.
Persuaded she can put everything to rights, the little girl lets the animals out of their cages. But when the hippopotamus gets stuck in the door, the problems are only just beginning.
This delightful tale is the basis of a brilliant interpretation by Sir Peter Ustinov, written and produced by Leonard Whiting.
