Quotes

  • “In the third chapter of the Chosen Ones series, both of Dodd’s protagonists’ lives have been dramatically altered by a connection to the Gypsy Travel Agency. There is a beauty and the beast vibe in this tale that has plenty of action and intense emotion. Once this book gets its claws into you, it doesn’t let go!”

" My least favorite of the series so far. Very disjointed which I found detracted from the story. "

" I liked this one better than the first book in the series. Now bare in mind I haven't read the second book, I skipped around due to library availability. John and Genny were OK. Genny seemed a bit dense to me always letting her father have control over her but at the same time she had the normal view that there is no way the legends were true. I liked that someone didn't immediately believe and had to be convinced. John on the other hand I was quite confused about for awhile. We went from prologue to story and had to wait a hundred pages to find out what happened in between. Other than the cheesiness and cliche of some scenes I would say this series is improving. I guess I will see what happens from here. "

" (1.5 maybe 2) Could't even finish it. I don't know, it's a good story, has the basics to be quite good, but I just don't feel it with the characters, their emotions feel weak to me. I didn't like it. "

" Fun book... 3rd in the series, but far better than the initial book. A fun ride running down a prophecy and the two main characters attraction to one another. "

" I didn't get the first chapter, but once I got past the strangeness of that, there was fun dialogue and interesting situations throughout the rest of the book. Not my favorite Dodd tale, but a petty good effort. "
