Audio Journeys explores a small patch of some of the Republic of El Salvador's last remaining rainforests. Fifty spider monkeys live in the canopy of 300-year-old trees. The spider monkeys are protected as long as they stay in this very small area, known as the Chaguantique Nature Reserve.
This important private reserve is maintained by El Salvador's ministry of Natural Resources. We meet Erlinda Lobo, a naturalist guide at the Reserve. The visitors' center is a small room with examples of plants and animals that live in this fragile ecosystem. Download and start listening now!
