" If you're looking for great literature, this isn't it. But if you'd like a quick, entertaining read with a lot of grossness, (Is that even a word?) then you might want to give this one a try. "

" I wasn't sure I was going to like this for two reasons. One, I'm not a Survivor fan. Two, in the beginning you're introduced to a TON of different characters. When you have that many, it's hard to develop them well. I think the author did a nice job of fleshing out most of them enough that you still got to know them, even though they might not have been in the story for long. Once I got through the first third of the book, the next two thirds flew. Still won't beat the zombie stories as my favorite Keene books, but this one was pretty good! "

" This book won't light anyones world on fire but it was an enjoyable read. Premise is like the show Survivor but imagine a cyclone hits and the there is an indiginous species on the island and they don't like the castaways. It was a little too gory for my taste but other than that if you like a good horror read then I would reccomend. "

" A must read for crypto-heads. If you're a Howard Stern fan, you'll appreciate the reference to two of the show's favorite goofballs. "

" This is a great idea, to have a bunch of people be on a TV show like Survivor, but to also be attacked by cannibals that no one knows about...until it's too late. I love the Troy character, the chronic dirty mouth. He's a lot like me! "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Nick | 12/16/2013

" I've never watched Survivor, but probably would if things turned out like they do in this book. "

" Ooohhh myyy God!!! Wow! This book kicks ass! If you liked Offseason by Jack Ketchum then you will love this this one. Scary, scary....grabbed me by the throat and wouldn't let go till I was finished. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Killer | 11/29/2013

" Pretty decent horror scenes throughout but no real twists, pretty predictable. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Crystal | 12/13/2012

" This book is like reading a cheezy made-for-tv movie. Sorry Keene fans - interesting concept realized in a lazy writing manner... It was a good lunch time read, since my attention span is short and pained during the work day.... "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Michael Steele | 12/8/2012

" Fun Read, not great but not bad. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Scott | 7/29/2012

" Troy was by far my favorite character in a beer goggle kind of way. This frantic fast-paced novel is set on an island riddled with a primitive tribe of pinheaded organ eating throwbacks. If Survivor as a game show was half as gory as the one portrayed here, I would have been a weekly addict. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Glenda | 5/9/2012

" I liked the survivor type storyline and enjoyed the crazy story of the caveman-like beasts hunting down the contestants, good scary fun! "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 J. | 8/31/2011

" Crappy horror. I read crappy horror when I don't have the energy for anything else (even crappy sci-fi and crappy mysteries seem to require more effort), and, I've noticed, when I'm already in a bad mood anyway. Meh. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Kevin Lucia | 7/3/2011

" Another Keene thriller - fast-paced, tense, gore galore - some good, exciting, horrible fun. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Nancy | 7/28/2010

" This book was solid. Not awesome, but certainly not bad. Rather gruesome for my tastes, but the pace was fast and the story was quite engaging. The ending is a little improbable, but happy. Happy is good (although a little unexpected for a horror novel). "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Chris | 7/19/2010

" If Survivor was more like this book, I'd probably watch it. "
