" A friend lent this to me because he knows of my knowledge of the Titanic and because I read some of the Anita Blake series. While the concept seemed interesting, it wasn't realized here. The writing had it's moments, both good and bad, it did not capture me like I thought it would. Also, there were too many historical inaccuracies which were very easy to check on and were just ignored. I also thought the author would try to start from a historically accurate frame, move to the "suspension of belief" phase, and then return to a historically accurate ending. He did not do so. It wasn't the worst way to recuperate from strep and laryngitis. "
