Publisher Description

Growing up on Rainshadow, Charlotte Enright knew better than to ever go into the Preserve, until that one fateful night with Slade Attridge - a night neither of them would forget.

Now, 15 years later, both have returned to the island: Charlotte to take over her late aunt's antiques shop and Slade to fill the police chief's position. Able to read auras, Charlotte senses something amiss in Slade, but that doesn't stop her from wanting him - again. That is, as long as his dust bunny deputy keeps his paws off her merchandise.

Hiding a psi injury, Slade is afraid of his powerful desire for Charlotte. But a series of increasingly violent crimes draws them closer together - and into the darkness at the heart of the Preserve....

"I enjoyed another romantic suspense with a paranormal twist on the the world of Harmony. I always get sucked into this futuristic world of Jayne's by the new cities and cultures developed by the humans who settled this world. I was in love with Slade from the first chapter. I could definitely relate to Charlotte as the woman who was successful in her own right by using her talent that was considered "not very useful". It was fun, the romance was hot and the characters were well developed. The supporting cast helped to flush out the history of the island and I hope that Jayne Anne will return to the island and provide at least one more story for Rachel."

" Hmmm, well I guess that was the last book in the Looking Glass Trilogy, its really damn hard to follow which books are to be read in which order. That continues to be my may complaint about these books. This is an Arcane Society book in Harmony? Which left me a little disconcerted for a period. I kept wondering if this was a Ghost Hunter or what exactly. At any rate, the characters were all interesting, they had great chemistry and the story was not too predictable. I think the story of the young boy (forgetting his name right now) was the most interesting to me. So in conclusion, not great, not horrible but I can say I am happy to be done with the LGT. "

" I love her paranormal books, especially when she takes a theme and does it across her three genres/pseudonyms. Jayne Castle/ Amanda Quick/ Jayne Ann Krentz rocks at this genre. I always find her futuristic paranormal books interesting, and I'm glad that she's now found a new way to expand on this world with a mysterious island. I look forward to reading more. "

" It was simply ok- nothing wonderful and nothing horrible. I liked that both the H and h were somewhat flawed instead of unrealistically perfect. Read it if you get the chance, but don't have high expectations. "

" Dust Bunnies never disappoint. Castle continues with delivering a good quality Arcane Society novel. I thoroughly enjoyed the romantic story-line between the central characters. Never suspected the "villain" in this one. "

" The only other book by Jayne Krentz, Jayne Castle, Amanda Quick I have read is Quicksilver which I thoroughly enjoyed. Although this one is not as good, maybe due to my not knowing all the history surrounding the Arcance Society, it was still an enjoyable read (listen). "

" Rex was adorbs (but random & so out of place). The alternate reality-like nature of this world got on my nerves. I don't remember all that from the Looking Glass #1 (In Too Deep). This story doesn't hold up to the last. "

" This was ok. I like her writing as Jayne Ann Krentz much more than as Jayne Castle. I love the dust bunnies in the books, but this one read as much more of a love story than any great mystery. Also, I didn't see it as having much connection to the other two books in the trilogy. "

" I thought this was an excellent conclusion to this trilogy and that this book had more depth than the ususal Jayne Castles. It did end rather abruptly, opening up two new story lines with no word as to whether a future book will contain a continuation. "
