"Wow---BETTER than self-incrimination. Great mystery novel. Not a literary masterpiece, but there are no language issues---a little bit graphic at the very start as Mr. Singer develops the setting, but nothing I felt was inappropriate---and moves to show you what Annie's on trial for. I really had no OBJECTIONS with this book (get it? legal thriller, objections...) Page turner for sure! And he has short chapters (I like that). I think I will definitely read more from him. The book jacket said not only is he a lawyer himself, but he is also a pastor, so that explains why we don't have to deal w/language or anything inappropriate..etc. I really liked it."

  • “This is inspirational fiction, but it isn’t didactic or preachy, and it’s an exciting thriller all on its own.”

" I read this book and listening to it brings it to life that reading just cannot. Like watching a movie in your mind and you get the WHOLE movie. Make sure you get the UNABRIDGED version of any book you get. "

" This book took me back to my mystery book roots:) I haven't read a mystery/crime book in awhile and it was nice to read this book. I read it for my christian book club but I have to say it didn't really have a christian theme or undertone. The book was about a woman who is accused of being a serial killer based on the fact that she had some visions about the murders. Once in the book the psychologist mentioned that the visions could be from God but that story line didn't really go anywhere. I did enjoy the book but I would not call it a christian book. There were a couple of nice twists in this book and it didn't get cluttered with too many mundane court details. I would recommend this book to others who like mysteries but if your looking for a mystery with a christian undertone my opinion would be this isn't it. "

" Not the most entertaining of courtroom dramas I have ever read but a doable read none-the-less. I do have his next book in line to read soon so I'll see if it's just this book or Mr. Singer's style. "

" There were several different layers to this story--domestic abuse, the justice system and a serial vigilante murder--that were woven together nicely. And the twists at the end--I didn't see them coming! A good read. "

" This actually was a very good book, along the lines of a Grisham book without the language. Some might bill it as Christian fiction" but in reality, it had no "Jesus in your face" and less profundity than a Dean Koontz book (which, if you read Koontz, he often throws in a really deep statement beyond the fiction that he writes---not the typical bestseller pop fiction author). Back to this review: if you like thriller type novels you will most likely enjoy this. It is well written and fast paced. "
