Publisher Description

Rome, once mighty, lies in ruins. The city swarms with suffering and degradation, her citizens living in the shadow of the ruthless Borgia family. Only one man can free the people from the Borgia tyranny - Ezio Auditore, the master assassin.

Ezio's quest will test him to his limits. Cesare Borgia, a man more villainous and dangerous than his father, the Pope, will not rest until he has conquered Italy. And in such treacherous times, conspiracy is everywhere - even within the ranks of the Brotherhood itself.

"I actually bought this book for a class. I didn't really know what to get but then I found this little guy and since I looove playing Assassin's Creed, I figured out I'd like to know the whole story behind Brotherhood. It was really good, but sometimes it was a little slow, I was anxious to get on to the action and turn pages after pages. Except that, I loved it! Really well written, I recommend it to any gamer out there and even normal readers!"

" I wanted to like this book since because it has an interesting premise. I'm not a gamer, but I have heard of the game series on which this book is based. However, it started off so slowly - and this is with fighting scenes on just about every page for the first 1/5th of the book. That's actually why it's slow. It begins to pick up after a while when it focuses more on letting the plot unravel. Of course, the battles and fighting continue, but the characters are also developed just a bit more. Thank goodness. Overall, it was definitely a good read, but it won't be among my favorites this year. "

" So the way you should do this is read these books first and then play the games. This book was quite borring because I knew exactly what was going to happen and when. Granted it was interisting to see a little back story, but it didn't help. A nice try but not for me. "

" The game was a lot better than the book but maybe I just didn't like the pace and style the book was written in. Since the game is very fast-paced I was expecting the book to be similar but I got bored in a few parts. "

" Again, I can't be the only who hasn't played, but read the books, right? Maybe I'm just a simplistic type of reader, but any book I can read from the first page to the last without boredom just tickles me. And I've read boring books. I love these books. Deviate from the standard. "

" Oliver Bowden writes terrible sex scenes. But this book is about what I'd expect of a novelization of a video game. Which is to say it is what it sets out to be. "
