Publisher Description

Internationally published horror novelist Edward Lee unleashes his 37th book and his very first vampire novel! When a new couple moves into a New York brownstone, they find their ultimate dream house...until they go into the basement. Suddenly, a macabre nun is seen lurking about, with an entourage of lewd and gibbering homeless women who seem to KNOW what evil secret lurks in the bowels of the old house. As the couples' dreams turn to lust-stained nightmares, and the bodies of missing persons are found impaled, the basement's secret is revealed at last: the remnants of Dracula himself...

"I have a bad habit of letting book covers sway me one way or the other. I almost didnt read this cause I just didnt like the cover. Boy am I glad I did. Grabbed me from page 1 and never let go. I am truly hoping there is a sequel in the works!"

" Started out promising, but ultimately chose schlock and gore over a good story. "

" Sometimes I like Edward Lee, sometimes not so much. He's way more graphically gory than many horror/paranormal authors I typically read. However, this one had a pretty decent story line, and wove the various facets of the "criminal" investigation and the emerging supernatural elements, which were totally unaware of each other, then came together nicely. The depth of the lesser-known Vlad the Impaler (Dracula) legends was interesting. I did NOT like that the female characters' rampant sexuality under the influence of the paranormal aspects was considered a sign of evil, plus Lee tends to kill off way too many primary characters, and does NOT guarantee a victorious, happy ending for the good guys. " Awful...no plot, no horror and badly written. Forced myself to finish it in the hope that it would become vaguely interesting but to no avail. "

" Weird as He**. It took me forever to get into it and then all I could think of was this is sooooooo messed up. If you don't like gore don't read this one. It got the rateing because of the plot idea and it wasn't boring. "
