" I read this book in grade 8 for class. I think I liked it better than the first one. I think both the hatchet and Brian's Winter are great books for 10-13 year olds to read. The books are exciting and will keep a reader's attention "

" Overall, I thought this was a great and interesting book. Brian,a boy who was stranded out in the wilderness, was very intelligent and thought of many different ways to help him survive. He had many adventures as he was hunting and trying to find food and shelter, which made the book a lot more exciting to me.I enjoyed reading this book because of how it is related to the outdoors, and all the excitements that come along with it.
