Publisher Description

Described as "utterly captivating" by Richelle Mead and as "enchanting and exciting, romantic and believable" by Melissa Marr, the New York Times bestselling Unearthly series has dazzled readers and critics alike. In this riveting finale, Cynthia Hand explores the timeless question of whether it is better to follow the rules or your heart. This incandescent paranormal romance will win the hearts of fans of Becca Fitzpatrick, Andrea Cremer, and Cassandra Clare.

The past few years held more surprises than part-angel Clara Gardner ever could have anticipated. Now, with the fallen angel who attacked her watching her every move and the threat of Black Wings looming, Clara knows she must finally fulfill her destiny—a destiny that includes Christian Prescott by her side. But in order to complete her purpose, Clara must first find a way to give up the thing she wants most . . . a future with the boy she loves, Tucker Avery.

"It took me a while to get around to reading the last book of this series. After the super sad ending to the previous one, I wasn't sure if I wanted to put myself through this one. I am glad I did. Overall, I really enjoyed the book. The story was fast paced and flowed along well. I liked Clara and, previously rather meh about him, I really liked Christian in this one. The reason this book got four stars instead of five? (view spoiler)[ I love Tucker, I do. You don't get much of him in this book, but he shines in every scene he is in. The ending however just seemed a little too perfect. The whole prophet thing seemed like an easy out and I was rather disappointed in it. And for as much as her relationship with Christian developed in this installment... Christian got ripped off. The author did the love triangle so well and then took the easy way out. As much as I love Tucker, after everything Clara and Christian went through together it just didn't feel right for her to pick Tucker. (hide spoiler)]"

" This series started off good, but I'm glad it has come to the end. I was annoyed by alllllll the characters throughout the novel, even Tucker, who I loved very much in the start. A lot of things were just convenient, and I found the heroine a bit too heroic.. if that makes sense.. I guess I was happy about the ending, but it was sort of abrupt. I have to say that I've loved every single one of the covers through the series though. "

" I liked this series even though I had a hard time remembering what happened in the last book. There were a lot of those wait...what's going...did I miss something moments, but that was because it was a long while since I read the last one and a lot of other books in between. I can't count how many times I had to reread the last chapter of a previous book to remember what's going on. This was a cute series that I enjoyed and it's always sad to see them end. I just wish there was a little more to the ending. I really liked Christian and felt bad for him at the end, but also knew it was coming because you can't compete with that epic love. Even though I liked Tucker as well, I really wanted Christian to be the guy in the end, but all is well that ends well. If you're looking for a change of pace from your normal reading I'd reccomend this series. I especially liked the authors take on hell. I thought that was good depiction and made the story a little more interesting. "

" I liked this series... I liked how most of it came together. Didn't love the ending. I wish they would have resolved the love triangle better. It was never explained either why Jeffrey was supposed to start the fire in the first book. I think this last one could have been better. "
