Publisher Description

Brianna Concannon is the kind of innkeeper who doesn’t mind the harsh winters of Ireland—and the empty bed-and-breakfast that comes with them. But this year, a famous American author needs a quiet place to stay while writing his next book.

A charmer whose easy smiles mask a guarded past, Grayson Thane plans to spend the cold winter alone. But his lovely landlady adds a complication he never expected. She’s exactly what he’s looking for in his heroine. And soon Grayson and Brianna will learn that sometimes fate has a plan of its own. Sometimes, fire can be born in ice…

“The pace of the book is smooth and even, and the writing captures the charisma and earthy charm of Ireland and the gentleness of its people.” —Publishers Weekly

“This book kept me interested right through to the end. Read this on a rainy night—you’ll be right in the thick of it.” —The Romance Reader

"second in the Irish Born Trilogy, this story surrounds Brianna Concannon and Grayson Thane. I am not usually a fan of the Nora Roberts books, I find them to be repetitive and long winded most times but this trilogy has been interesting to read. Grayson Thane author with the carefree lifestyle settles into Brianna's Bed and Breakfast to write his next book. They become lovers much to Brianna's mother's dislike. Then again, the bitterness and unhappiness of the mother comes to the forefront when she tells Brianna she was born out of duty. Maeve has her issues, resenting the husband and the children because she could no longer sing. Maggie and Rogan makes an appearance, with Maggie preggers and ready to give birth. Also woven into the story is a stock certificate that Tom Concannon bought and discovered by Brianna in the attic. And, Brianna learning of her father's affair with a woman named Amanda. Nora Roberts keeps the story moving a long with Brianna and Grayson's secrets slowly being revealed."

" Brianna and the American writer Gray- yum! I didn't expect to like this story so much, as Brianna had seemed a little on the doormat side of personalities in the previous book, but I was surprised and enjoyed the descriptions of life running a B&B. And Gray was delicious. He had the money but not the same airy command of Rogan, which made me like him more and his background was great. I was rooting for these two ;) "

" The second book in this Nora Roberts trilogy, and in my opinion, the best of the three. The dutiful Brianna falls in love with a murder mystery author who is staying at her inn. When the book is written, she has to persuade him to stay... "

" This and its first part "Born in Fire" are great reads. But the third part (Born in Shame) is, to say the least, tiring. There are two reasons why i will always cherish this book. First is the beauty of Ireland captured so well by the author, and second, Grayson Thane "
