If you like romance with a bit of mystery, then you might enjoy it. I found the writing a bit dull and wanted to skip most of the chapters. I persisted because I did want to find out how the mystery resolved itself, despite having figured it out early in the book. Descriptions of the geography and the weather kept me going. "

No surprise there but the book also presented an accounting of daily life in that time period that reinforces just how tough women's lives can be.
