A 2011 Reader's Crown finalist!

Fallen angels rule Moscow's seedy underworld, promising untold pleasure to the females who dare to mate them. That promise - and Brends Duranov's own raw sexual power-has hopefuls mobbing the velvet rope outside his elite club G2's.

But Mischka Baran has no intention of hooking up with one of the Fallen. Not even after Brends gives her an unforgettable taste of the sin and seduction he can deliver with those wicked lips. She's after information, not a stint as some fallen angel's toy of the month. What she doesn't know is that with a sadistic killer carving up his brethren, Brends is playing for keeps, hunting the one woman whose bloodline can end the mayhem, whose bond can restore his lost wings.

" I like the concept of this book of the fallen angels and their curse and how they struggle in this immortal life but have the gift to bond to people in every way possible for any amount of time depending on what kind of "favor" they ask for which can be anything. But that an angel conspires to make sure that the fallen never have a chance to return to heaven since the only way to redemption is to find their soul mates here, you see how mysterious murders of specific people are directly related to their potential to be soul mates of the fallen. When the final two of the soul mates are tracked down they stumble onto their part of the whole thing and slowly realize that not only they are going straight into danger but they were always meant to. " This wasn't a bad story. Some parts were a bit disjointed though, which spoilt the flow a bit. Also, some parts were a bit inexplicable - without giving anything away, how the heck did the killer get inside the moving SUV? I would guess teleportation, but no clues are given. Not even a "where did you come from?" from the other people in the car. "

" Not sure why the reviews on this book weren't great. I thought this was a well thought out story with great characters. I can't wait for the next one. It was different from the majority of angel stories. "
