The ultimate fall from grace....

Lokan Krayl held enviable privileges and powers. Powers that led to a devastating betrayal: murder. Resurrected by his immortal brothers, Lokan is still trapped in purgatory. He has no way to contact his family. He has no answers. In order to find the truth about his death, and who killed him, he must escape his prison. And there's only one way out: through the 12 gates of his eternal enemy, Osiris.

But Lokan has help. Bryn Carr, the woman who duped him once before, is his beautiful yet unwanted guide. She's been sent by his brothers to aid him. She's his last hope. Lokan must place his fate - and that of the mortal and immortal worlds - in the hands of the one woman he can never trust.

" Excellent finale to this series. Loved meeting Lokan finally. Really liked Bryn also. Their HEA was well deserved. Am going to miss reading about the Krayl brothers. "

" I'm really loving this series, way more than some others that seem to get way more attention. I was a fan of Eve Silver's gothics too so I think I just like her style. I believe this was originally billed as a trilogy but I'm glad we get #4 and Lokan's story here. I think that he and Bryn actually have the sweetest romance to date. It could be because Bryn isn't really kick-ass as the other heroines mostly are. She has her own powers, they just aren't really of the physical/warrior variety. Their story was told with a lot of flashbacks which normally aren't my thing but I found that it worked here, given their history. I thing I've found with this series is that the ending tend to be abrupt and this one was no different. I think I needed a little more time to digest all the implications of the end. But given that Bryn's brothers seem like "hero" material I'm assuming this isn't the end of the series and I'll get to see some of those implications in the future. "

" One can only imagine the many levels of Hell. Well Eve Silver has a wonderful imagination. Having been murdered viciously by his Father, one of the rulers of Hell, Lokan has been condemned to the cruelest of fates. An existence in a null zone, nothing but gray for eternity. The human (or so HE thinks) mother of his child sees that the redemption of his soul is the only protection for their daughter from his psycho father, so she goes to Hell to help him through the 12 Gates of Hell. Action abounds as trial after trial presents itself into the fleeing couples way. All begins to look good when an unforeseen element looms before them....will they both make it out of Hell to protect their daughter? You're only a good read away from THAT answer! "

" This was a tough one for me. I loved the scenes with Lokan's and Bryn's brothers handling things Topworld, but felt a lot of the scenes Underworld with Lokan and Bryn trying to make their way through the 12 gates were extremely drawn out. Some of this could be the length of time I waited to read the final book after reading the first three. Or it could be how little I felt like we really knew Lokan before this book. The three other books were all about his murder, so we knew of him, but he hadn't starred in any of the books before this. The ending also seemed a bit abrupt to me, but I ws still pleased with the book overall. I enjoyed this series and would definitely recommend it to others to read, but this just wouldn't be in my all time favorite series. "

" I had high hopes for this one but I was not impressed. It was rather boring and the hero and heroine didn't even connect until over halfway through. There was little action and the tension was nil. A disappointing conclusion to an otherwise great series. "
