"I picked this up off the 25 cent shelf at my Library in Coeur d'Alene not even realizing that Clint Eastwood's image was on the cover. It was a great, relaxing read. I did wonder why no one used a cell phone and then checked the date of publication and its 11 years old. The movie comes tomorrow from Netflix so we'll see..."

" Pretty decent book even if it was lacking Harry Bosch. I can't say what I liked about it without verging on spoilers--mystery, romance, characters, friendships, bureaucrats, twists and turns, fishing, law and order meets ER--so I'll just give it four stars and move onto Void Moon. "

" What I liked was the tension between partners who had to work together but did not really trust each other. The portrayed drive of a man who had to give up his job for medical reasons but was compelled to give it another go one more time. "

" It is too bad the Clint Eastwood movie based on this novel didn't have the same amount of intensity, emotion or excitement as the book. This was the first Michael Connelly book I ever read, and it made me hunger for more from this brilliant author. "

" This is a book I read years ago, but pick up for a reread - haven't been to the library. A good thriller and made into a great film starring Eastwood. Not as interesting protagonist as Harry Bosch, but I would still recommend it. "

" Connelly excels in creating three-dimensional characters you care about. There is one really good chase scene with the serial killer, and the romance angle is pretty well done. A good suspense novel. "

" This was not Mr. Connelly's best work. I love the Harry Bosh novels, and I really liked the Lincoln Lawyer but, this character, McCaleb and the first in his series was not good. The plot was just fine but I couldn't connect with the guy. He seemed old to me. "
