An Epic of Two Worlds
In a world as rich and real as our own, Richard Rahl and Kahlan Amnell stand against the ancient forces which besiege the New World-- forces so terrible that when last they threatened, they could only be withstood by sealing off the Old World from whence they came. Now the barrier has been breached, and the New World is again beset by their evil power.
War and treachery plague the world, and only Richard and Kahlan can save it from an armageddon of unimaginable savagery and destruction.
In Blood of the Fold, Terry Goodkind, author of the brilliant bestsellers Wizard's First Rule and Stone of Tears, has created his most masterful epic yet, a sumptuous feast of magic and excitement replete with the wonders of his unique fantasy vision.

"I am currently reading # 2, in the series. So far I have a hard time getting into them, but about half way I get really involved nd can hardly put it down, then it ends and I am eager for the next, which once again I have a hard time getting into. I am not sure why I stick with them for so long, becasue half way is 400 pages in, I guess I am more interested then I think I am." — Jenn (4 out of 5 stars)

" I enjoyed these books, although I did think they were very similar in many ways to The Wheel of Time. Although still original enough to keep me interested. "
" I only read the first one. I enjoyed the story very much but I felt the author went a little over board on the disturbing sexual abuses. It seemed an easy way to get your audience to hate the antagonists. From what my sister told me of the second book, I didn't think I could stomach the second one. Though I did want to continue the story. "
" A top notch series, with good writing all the way through. As with many series' the fourth book had parts that dragged so long I put the book down. Books 1-3 are riveting, exciting, etc. "
" I really loved these books. It was a lot different read than I am used to but it was so good! The whole series was really amazing. "
" 2 1/2 stars. Fun, but I got bored. I can't remember if it was the fourth or fifth book where that happened... "
" I have read this book series 3 times already. I LOVE IT! The Blood of the Fold kind of dragged a little but all in all was very good like the rest of the series. "
" I enjoyed this book. One of the better fantasy books I have read for a while. It is a little more graphic then I would of liked in some parts but a great page turner. "
" This series is wonderful if you like fantasy books "
" The Sword of Truth series was a remarkable read. The world was rich and vivid, the characters strong and their relationships often a tangled web. This is a work which lauds the highest ideals of mankind and the struggles of those that wish to uphold them. "
" Really long series...I've had to take a break after book #6 just because there are so many other books to read. I will get back to Richard and Kaylan sometime though... "
" Really, really enjoyed this series. Should have used Peter Jackson for the movie, instead of the doing the TV series. "
" Blood, guts, sex. The plot was great, but... must have strong stomach. After reading the books, you feel down. Not uplifting, period. "
" I have read EVERY book in this longs series 3 times and continue to re-read all. The best fantasy books I have ever read hands down. "
" Finished the first one Wizard's First Rule. Which I love. "
" Poor writing. I don't know what these people about. Whoever the editor was needs fired. "
" I read the first two books from this series, it is hard to get through. The bad guys are more evil then I like to read about, it is a little to graphic for my usual taste "
" This series has it all. Magic, action, forbidden love, comedy. Everything you could ask for is in this series and terry just keeps adding to it. I love these stories. "
" Amazing! I love Richard and Kahlan; Terry Goodkind is a genius! Although I have to admit that the second book was a little slow since some history had to be explained, these books are still some of my favorites! "
" Great books if you like Sci fi Books "
" My favorite Fantasy series. Good combination of action, magic and romance. "
" I found the first Sword of Truth novel in my geometry desk sophomore year and started reading it and sort of never returned it, SORRY. "
" Excellent storytelling.. and easy to get wrapped up in before the heavy philosophical monologues in the later books. "
" Best thing i've read in a long time.. "
" What can I say. It's like junk food for the brain. I still enjoyed them a great deal. "
" Still itching to pick up the next one as fast as possible, but I didn't get into some of the new characters quite as much as the last to. I think my favorite part was Zedd's last chapter. : ) "
" The storyline begins to sag in this book. I felt myself reading just to be done with the book. Not the best in the series. "
" A good book. The sword of truth series has moved pretty high on my list of books to read. "
" Definitely my favorite in the series so far! Great characters and story telling. My interest was held the whole time. "
" Still going on the series. I now skim Richard's speaches and feel that the author backtracks into plot summary too often. Sure a little recap would be nice but it's becoming too long. "
" This book in the series reminded me of bad Japanese anime; sketchy story telling, poor character development and gratuitous sex and violence. Hopefully the train will get back on track in the next book. "
" The New and the Old worlds collide; towers down, Jagang and the Imperial Order wreaks havoc as Richard attempts to unite the Midlands. Foray into the Wizard's Keep. Still quite good. "
" This one was ok, I still liked it however the other 2 in the series were much better. I would still recommend reading this series. "
" another mega page turner with teaser ending "
" One of the best so far, bu the editing was particularly horrendous in this one. "
" (Tom)Good vs Evil Life vs DeathRichard(Wizard in training) and Kahlan(Mother Confessor) save THEIR world. "
" Good read, slightly predictable, but I am still enjoying the series so far. "
" loved the ending, but definitely for NOT for anyone under 16. "
" Better than the second book. I wish each of these were closer to 300 pages rather than 600, there's a lot of wasteful repetition, but the overall mythology and story lines are good. "
