" Police crime novel set in Scotland and introducing Sergeant Alice Rice - I shall be on the lookout for more of the same. "

" I found this book to be boring. The storyline, the characters, the outcome all felt lacking. However, this is the first in a series & I will read more as even some of my favorite series started out with less than stellar reviews. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 by Tania Morris | 5/10/2012

" Quite slow paced but a short book, could be a bit heavy going if any longer. Plot seems well laid out and does not give away the identity of the guilty one too early. If reading more of the Alice Rice series important to get them in the right order or bits about the character will not make sense. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 by Jean | 10/21/2011

" Thought this book had too much legal jargon and not enough action. The storyline tended to drag in places, but the ending was swift. "
