Publisher Description

Caroline Dawson survived the town gossips who whispered behind her back. She survived the slow death of her husband, Roscoe Lancaster, the richest man in the county and her senior by three decades. But she feared she might not survive Rink Lancaster, her husband's son. Years before she married, when she and Rink were teens, he had introduced Caroline to her first tremulous taste of love - and then broke her heart. Now Rink is back. He says he wants to settle his father's estate. But driven by a storm of emotions as undeniable as before and more dangerous than ever, what he really wants is to settle the score with Caroline.

"I was concerned that the heroine was going to die angry. The hero held my attention. This book is a baby version of The Alibi. I think that maybe Sandra Brown took the hero from this book and "grew him up" to be the man Hammond "Bad Ass" Cross in The Alibi. Just my opinion. "

" I am trying to broaden my knowledge on authors so decided to try this sandra brown romance. I listened to it and caught myself laughing out loud at the constant sexy scenes. Who has this much sexual tension? I guess I learned I am not a fan of romance novels...or at least not this one. "

" A sad/happy story. A woman falls in-love as a young lady to a man much older than herself, but ends up marring his father. When Rosco is dying, Rink comes back at his request and old flames heat up once more, but Roscoe will try his best to keep them apart, just has he had done so many years ago. "
