" I really enjoyed this book, which I found on the bookshelf of a hotel cottege in Sark. It's just off being predictable, and I found it a nice easy read, perfect for being on a short holiday! "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Caren Nelson | 1/22/2014

" I love this book. I haven't read it in years and I can see some of the flaws, but the story itself is so beautiful and the town is lovely. I just want to go back and visit Eric and Maggie again. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Victoria | 1/19/2014

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Amanda | 1/18/2014

" This book was so good. I read faster than I have probably read any other book lately. I wasn't as in love with the characters by the end of the book. They got a little cheesy, but I really liked the story! "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Pat | 1/15/2014

" Ms Spencer is a good writer, but this book has too much angst. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Deb | 1/10/2014

" I'm not into romance novels. They're too predictable. It was OK. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Gaynell | 1/9/2014

" I really enjoyed this book. Yes, it does have adultery in the story; but God says to judge not lest you be judged. I really hurt for Maggie and Eric. Nancy didn't really love Eric. She only wanted him because he was nice looking and good in bed - and she didn't want to be alone. Any married woman who could callously have a secret abortion (knowing how much her husband wants a baby) doesn't care about him. It was like Eric told her, she only loved herself. No, I don't condone cheating. It almost always brings heartache; but I do see why Eric was drawn to Maggie. And, they did have their share of heartache before they finally had the HEA. "

  • 1 out of 51 out of 51 out of 51 out of 51 out of 5 Carol | 10/21/2013

" I LOVED the fact that this book takes place in Door County . . . but I hated the premise of the book. I do not like books about affairs. I didn't like any of the characters. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Doreen | 9/16/2013

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Dawnie | 9/3/2013

" I loved this book several years ago and just got reaquainted with it again. Still a wonderful love story set in a tourist town up north- is never going to win a nobel prize, but for its genre, its a great book. A good afternoon read on a rainy Saturday. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Nicola Hawkes | 8/3/2013

" This is one I read after watching soppy films on TV! All sorts of things could be criticised, (Maggie's conveniently wealthy, the adultery is perhaps too easily justified, and surely Roy would have considered leaving Vera years before, she's horrible!) but lovely to come back to as escapism. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Naomi | 6/20/2013

" Not my favorite LS book but def. a sweet read. This one was a little bit different than some of her other ones. Also, a clean read which is one of my favorite aspects of all LS books. "

" The hero is married to someone other than the heroine (she knows about his wife). They have an affair anyway. I am not okay with that. The fact that they had a history together doesn't make it okay. The only reason I finished this book was because it was written by LaVryle Spencer. "
