Two powerful families, a priceless bottle of wine, and a precious pink diamond lost for three generations collide in this suspenseful contemporary romance series from New York Times bestselling author Christina Dodd.

At nineteen, Noah Di Luca was Bella Terra’s golden boy: handsome, confident, and untouched by the shadows that tormented his brothers—or so it seems. Driven by ambition, beautiful teenage Penelope Alonso fought her way out of the ghettos. During one hot summer, they came together in the sweetness of first love … until his past reared its ugly head and Noah walked away.

Nine years later, Penelope returns, never imagining she’d see Noah or that one glance would reawaken their fiery passion. As peril builds around them, Penelope has one choice: to survive, she must once again trust the man who betrayed her.

Even with terror stalking through Bella Terra’s streets, love may be the most dangerous choice of all.

" Not as good as other books that I've read by Christina Dodd. I have to say I found the main story a little far-fetched and unbelievable. Sometimes the romance makes up for this, not this time for me. They were too brief and too infrequent. By the end I didn't get the feeling of ever-lasting love from either Penelope or Noah, which made the slightly unbelievable plot even worse. "

" Nice completion to the series. I do recommend the Bella Terra series. Nice romance with a little mystery. "

" This is the 3rd story in the Bella Terra series. It is Noah's story. We discover that Noah met his Mother when he was 16 and never shared that information with anyone. He met Penelope, an intern working for the decorator updating the Bella Terra resort when she was just in college. They had a summer affair and then he dumped her for no apparent reason. The hunt is still on for the missing wine bottle that was supposed to have been hidden by Noah's grandfather while he was suffering from Alzheimer's before his death and believed to contain the valuable missing pink diamonds. The famous actor father shows up briefly for the first time in the series but quickly disappears when he finds out that Noah's mother is near by. Noah realizes he still loves Penelope but there is so much danger and so little time... "

" I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this trilogy of the three DiLuca brothers, the women who love them, and the long-running family feud(s). With the mystery still technically unsolved - solution out of sight?, the author has left herself room to revisit these characters again if she so desires. Having done this as a triology rather than one larger book, she has also allowed herself to develop her characters to such a depth, even most of her peripheral ones, that the pickings are ripe - like grapes on the vine? "

" Perhaps I should have started with books 1 and 2 of this series, but I just happened upon this book by chance. So far this story is a disappointment. Noah is tedious in his behaviour as far as his "secret" goes. Penelope is tiresome with her secrets. Which means that as a possible couple they are tiresome and tedious. I have been struggling along hoping it will improve but don't have high hopes at all. I have read several of Christina Dodd's books in the past and always enjoyed them. The only plus I can find about this particular book is that there are no vampires in it. "

" This is an author whose books I look for and regularly purchase. However this was a large disappointment. The plot stretches the bounds of belief and coincidences pile one on another, defing logic and destroying the enjoyment of the book. Giving it one star may be one too many. "

" I'm not sure why I didn't enjoy "Betrayal" as much as the others in the series, but I didn't feel the characters. The series completed nicely - the author tidied up loose ends well. But the characters were not as believable to me. "
