" I really enjoyed this book "

" This is the kind of book I am used to by Sandra Brown. It had intrigue, murder, excitement, a touch of romance-but not over the top and lots of action. Some of the characters were a little hokey but that may be because it was based in Texas and the characters were "playing the part". "

" Alex's mother was murdered 25 years ago and now she, as a district attorney, is set to bring the murderer to justice. Unfortunately, none of the three prime suspects wants to re-open old wounds. "

" This was an early book of Sandra's. It gave the ok to fall in love with and marry a man who's anger was turned on his future bride, and very angry, hurtful words were directed her way. Thank goodness, this is no longer considered an ideal, romantic relationship, but one that should be avoided. "

" Really, really. A total DNF despite getting more than halfway through the book. "

" The heroine and hero were always angry with each other...how can that turn into eternal devotion (especially with some physical hitting involved). I also noticed the heroine moistened her lips alot...chapstick, anyone? "

" The author does a good job keeping the reader guessing as to who the villian is. Just a bit to much of graphic crime scenes for my taste. "

" I had trouble with the relationship of the characters. It had some good suspense but just a little disturbing with the relationships of the characters. This was my first Sandra Brown book. I will try one more of her books since several others said they are really good. "

" The book was about a girl who goes back to find out who killed her mother when she was 2 months old. It was very insesuous. Not really a surprise ending. "

" I like crime novels and that piece of this book was good. BUT it was way too "cowboy"; it had too many southern/cowboy stereotypes; and quite frankly, I prefer my sex in real life, not in the books I read. ...and the sexual vocab used was over the top cheezy for me! :-X "
