The cordless drill he rammed into his victim’s belly lies motionless alongside her dead body. Berlin Criminal Investigation Detective Konstantin Butz arrives late at night in the pouring rain to investigate the second grisly murder this week. On the other side of town, photographer Claire Bentheim loses control of a photo shoot and is forcefully introduced to the bloody subculture of scarification and body augmentation. It’s a hot summer night in Germany’s fastest city. What is it that seems to lurk in the streets, nooks, and crannies of Berlin, almost like a curse? Konstantin Butz knows only one thing: he’s hot on the trail of a seemingly linked series of murders. And he knows that he loves Claire Bentheim, whom he meets thanks to these grisly summer nights. Berlin Gothic offers the image of a city that bursts at the seams with life and death. Download and start listening now!
