    " It hit a couple of boring slumps for me (since by now I was desensitized to the extreme and gratuitous sex), but there was more story, more character insight, more insight into the dynamic of masters and slaves, and more emotional impact in certain scenes. The emotional stuff surprised me, particularly (view spoiler)[the scenes with Inanna. (hide spoiler)] I was genuinely sad about that whole situation and found myself rooting for them, though I thought the ending was fine. "
