In the final volume of Anne Rice's deliciously tantalizing erotic trilogy, Beauty's adventures on the dark side of sexuality make her the bound captive of an Eastern Sultan and a prisoner in the exotic confines of his harem. As this voluptuous adult fairy tale moves toward conclusion, all of Beauty's encounters with the myriad variations of sexual fantasy are presented in a sensuous, rich prose that intensifies this exquisite rendition of Love's secret world and makes the Beauty series an incomparable study of erotica. In it, Anne Rice makes the forbidden side of passion a doorway into the hidden regions of the psyche and the heart. Download and start listening now!

" It hit a couple of boring slumps for me (since by now I was desensitized to the extreme and gratuitous sex), but there was more story, more character insight, more insight into the dynamic of masters and slaves, and more emotional impact in certain scenes. The emotional stuff surprised me, particularly (view spoiler)[the scenes with Inanna. (hide spoiler)] I was genuinely sad about that whole situation and found myself rooting for them, though I thought the ending was fine. "

" It was slow going at first. I wasn't really interested in Beauty's new life in the Sultan's palace, but as it went on and developed, it got so good! I LOVE the ending! I'm so glad it ended as it did. I'm definitely satisfied with that ending. "

" Very erotic, if you like this style then, I highly recommend the set. "

" Awful, I couldnt even finish it. Wish there would of been a reason as to why the things that were done to the people were happening. Pointless "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Amparo | 12/18/2013

" The ending of the triology is so sweet. Although, the erotic and disturbing path she went through was crazy and uncalled for, I loved the ending. "

" I really didn't think I'd be able to finish this. A lot more slash than I'm used to but I made it through. The last few chapters I couldn't put the book down. "

" One final time, this book (and consequently the series) could've been so much better if Rice had worked more on the storyline and character development in any of the other possible aspects and not just focused on BDSM. The result is not erotica so much as porn. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Joe Nobel | 1/7/2013

" I think Anne used up all her ideas and was just looking around her livingroom. 'Aha,a plant, let's see if I can make that into something sexual.' It was just anything and everything lol. And of course we knew how it would end. Of course. "

  • 1 out of 51 out of 51 out of 51 out of 51 out of 5 Sista | 11/19/2012

" This was just painful (excuse the pun!) to read. It drones on & on & on. Boring is all I can use to describe it. A brilliant concept - but it just was utter crap. "

" The final book in Anne Rice's Beauty trilogy. I felt like this book dragged a little, but the ending made up for it. I can't give anything else away. I wont even recommend you read this, because if you read the first 2 you wont be able to NOT read this one! "

" Rice writes as "A.N. Roqelaure" and retells the Sleeping Beauty fairy tale. Very graphic in nature. X-rated. However, the writing style is in the vivid Rice flavor and if you are not put off by the subject matter, these books are certainly read-worthy. Quick reads, all three... "

  • 1 out of 51 out of 51 out of 51 out of 51 out of 5 Alicia | 9/5/2009

" If your after a pure (violent S&M) erotic book then this is for you. If you are after erotica with a good story then i dont recommend this at all. This is just pure violent, abusive sex. Not really my thing, but may be yours ;)
    "
