Publisher Description

An erotic novel of discipline, love, and surrender for the enjoyment of men and women.

This sequel to The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty, the first of Anne Rice's elegantly written volumes of erotica, continues her explicit, teasing exploration of the psychology of human desire. Now Beauty, having indulged in a secret and forbidden infatuation with the rebellious slave Prince Tristan, is sent away from the Satyricon-like world of the Castle. Sold at auction, she will soon experience the tantalizing punishments of the village, as her education in love, cruelty, dominance, submission, and tenderness is turned over to the brazenly handsome Captain of the Guard. And once again Rice's fabulous tale of pleasure and pain dares to explore the most primal and well-hidden desires of the human heart.

"I feel funny giving this porn five stars, but I really love the whole Beauty Trilogy. I didn't put this in Best of the Best but really. . . maybe it deserves to be there. The world "A.N. Roquelaure" creates is gorgeous, all-encompassing, and completely bizarre in the best way possible. I think Beauty's Punishment and Beauty's Release are my favorites, but they're all good."

" Finally finished the second book in the Sleeping Beauty Trilogy. I have to say that it was okay and that I will read the third and final book, but I hope Beauty can be different after all her experiences so far and be removed from everybody else. Also I hope Tristan can overcome his difficultes and be a Prince that goes his own way in life. Looking forward to reading Beauty's Release in the near future. "

" This book opens up the realm of Beauty's inner soul and how she decides to embrace the situation she finds herself in. This will keep you keep reading at each turn of the page. You will not want to put it down. "

" All 3 books are pure erotica. A.N. Roquelaure is really Anne Rice. After reading a few of her books I decided to pick these up too. I saw a review once that said that these books could have been combined into one book because it got repetitious of the same sequences happening over and over and I agree. "

" At first I was eager to continue the storyline from the first book in the series. As the storyline developed, increasingly a bondage and domination theme, I was mainly surprised and intrigued. Two thirds of the way through the novel, my surprise was at how desensitized I had become about reading the twisted B and D events. I found myself skimming pages just to find out what happens, and then finally just didnt finish. Too much of a good thing? "

" Rice's ability to sustain the recrafted faerietale as an adult fantasy series is intriguing. Beauty's journey to learn her true desire and balance it with love is a solid metaphor of the cultural assertion for women to 'have it all.' Still, I found myself skipping the sex to get back to the plot. "

" Continues the "wonderful" life that Beauty has willingly chosen, even though she has no idea what she has gotten herself into. You will learn exactly what she has bestowed on herself and love almost every minute of it without realizing that you held such esteem to certain behaviors. "

" Wow, the effect these books had on me was unexpected... at first. But then, I just couldn't put these books down for a minute. I had marathon nights with these little books. If you're easily offended by the hard core sadist theme, these books are not for you... Definitely, not cute, prim romance... "
