At six, Kirsty Jansen sent Penguin her first novel, which they kindly declined to publish. She has since worked on such diverse projects as ladder-safety infomercials, educational websites, and doctors' roleplay scripts, while her fiction has been published in various magazines. She recently completed the Creative Writing MA degree at Warwick.
