" I may have read too many Heyers when I came upon this one, but it seemed a little too long and a little too involved after the fact. I totally enjoyed it while I was reading it, but it didn't make a lasting impression. But, it is fun to read, with witty, bantering dialogue, great characters and caricatures, and silly adventures abounding. "

" Alpha male vs. alpha female. I love Heyer's take on it. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Cheer Papworth | 1/22/2014

" I love Georgette Heyer, but this is one of my favorites. The sharp dialogue between the main character and her romantic interest is so funny! Enjoy! "

" I love Georgette Heyer's books, and this one was just as good as the rest of them! "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Lindsey Lindsey | 1/16/2014

" Great fun! Lots of "by your leaves" and swooning. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Victoria | 1/14/2014

" The strange thing about this book is that I like the story but don't care enough about the characters. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Charlotte | 1/11/2014

" Firey redhead jilts sardonic Marquis -- there is only one way this can end. No complaints from me, however. The characters are vibrant, if largely one-sided. There is plenty of comedy and lots of regency manners. A very satisfying, joyful read. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Jane | 1/3/2014

" I loved the characters in this book. And, as with all of Heyer's books, it was a thoroughly enjoyable sojourn in another time and place. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Beverly | 12/23/2013

" Georgette Heyer is a true delight to read and Bath Tangle was a top favorite. Jane Austen fans will love this book. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Jodie Anderson | 12/23/2013

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Judy | 12/17/2013

" Georgette Heyer is the best Regency romance author. Her people are multi-dimensional, her caustic wit always showing. "

  • 1 out of 51 out of 51 out of 51 out of 51 out of 5 Karen | 12/9/2013

" I quit this book early - just found it boring. I do really like other Heyer works though. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Vicky | 11/24/2013

" Bath tangle is a delightful story that has all the best ingredients of the Regency novel. Here are the mismatched couples, real lovers, aristocracy with its rules and gossips and of course the free-spirited heroine who find her true love, despite all obstacles. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Nancy | 10/8/2013

" Once the bath tangle was untangled...a fun & happy ending!! "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Kati | 2/22/2013

" 2.5 What a disappointment. I so love Heyer novels that to read one where I couldn't even LIKE the characters was just not even fun. But, I finished it. "

" so good. I really think I was meant to have been born in this time period. I love it too much. On to the next Georgette Heyer book... "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Tracey | 11/10/2012

" Re-read in 2012. Bumped up my rating because I've grown to appreciate the ridiculousness of the plot. And I do love Mrs. Floore. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Amanda | 5/11/2012

" Hmmm...for a georgette heyer, it really didn't do it for me. Maybe because I recently finished the wonderful Grand Sophy? "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Laurie | 9/8/2011

" Two almost over-the-top headstrong and temperamental lead characters. A good story, and with Heyer's signature humor in it, but with protagonists this angry all the time, the love story was a little bit farfetched. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Jaishree | 8/31/2011

" a wonderful read as usual. Her writing never palls re-reading it for the nth time. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Jenney | 6/10/2011

" I didn't love the characters but still loved the writing. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Alyssa | 5/31/2011

" Had some slow parts so I gave it four stars instead of five. Fun plot, engaging characters and lots of witty dialogue (Heyer's forte). If you can handle the sophsiticated/old English style of writing (a la Jane Eyre) then you should enjoy this book. Wonderful novel! "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Natalya | 3/16/2011

" Another fun Heyer! Her characters are interesting and her minor characters are loveable as well. I loved the crazy plot and witty dialogue! "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Kathy | 3/1/2011

" Oh it's a tangle all right and a delightful read of the styles, culture, and mores of Regency England as the Marquis of Rotherham pursues a non-traditional courtship of the Lady Serena Carlow upon her father's death. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Laurie | 2/28/2011

" Two almost over-the-top headstrong and temperamental lead characters. A good story, and with Heyer's signature humor in it, but with protagonists this angry all the time, the love story was a little bit farfetched. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Vicky | 2/12/2011

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Diane | 2/3/2011

" Amusing parallels with Pride and Prejudice, without the wicked Wickham! Am looking forward to seeing how Ms. Heyer handles other similarly-set novels. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Judy | 12/20/2010

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Katherine | 11/13/2010

" I really enjoyed this book. Fun, clean, Regency romance. Very clever. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Tara | 8/7/2010

" 3.5 stars. A fun, romantic mix-up that gets happily resolved. The enjoyment comes from the character development, since the plot is pretty obvious from the beginning. A lighter read of Heyer's. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Katie | 7/7/2010

" I love my aunt for introducing me to Georgette Heyer. I can best describe this as Jane Austen light-with a teensy bit more scandalous behaviour. Fun, interesting characters, and of course, romance. "
