Publisher Description

This is the very first record produced by Laughing Stock. Recorded at the Edinburgh Festival in 1991, it contains much of Arnold's best known and best loved works.

The former chartered accountant and 'Young One' combines satire and deadpan in one deadly hit, as he caustically examines royalty, politics, religion, feminism, and of course, tea rooms!

"This book for me answered my question as to why I keep attracting to the same kind of women and what to look for to avoid falling in love with the same kind of women. The signs are clear but if you don't understand the dynamics of why, what, and how, you will continue to be a co pilot in the game of slow death. And there will be no one to blame but yourself. Good job Tracy. This is all man's fault by the way. If we just would of been brave enough to tell Eve to put the apple down, you know your wrong, we might of had a fighting chance. Instead we acted cowardly and went spineless and co signed a clear foul in the rules of life. then pointed the finger at Eve and played the blame game. What punks we are sometime. Hope to meet you one day to say thanks. Joe quanticopublishing.wordpress.com"

" I read this book and loved it. I definitely recommend this to all single women! Like the author said, if it makes you angry, it's probably because what she's saying is TRUE. :) "

" Great as general self help, though the title is off-putting. "

" I read this book because I'd seen Tracy read a few times at Literary Death Match, she made me laugh and she had curly hair. I thought it would be a fun read because I don't actually care why I'm not married yet. Then every chapter hit home in some way, whether it applied to me or a friend. And really, it's a lot of stuff my therapist and/or acupuncturist and/or more mature friends have said or tried to get me to think about over the years not necessarily from a relationship standpoint but in a bettering yourself kind of way. But that all starts to become white noise so it was actually fun to have a stranger stir up those thoughts...even when the book made me mad. Because sometimes it did. "

" engagingly written from the perspective of someone who admits a ton of mistakes. not as flimsy a self-help book as it appears. I liked the "spiritual stuff that will help you" sections. "

" Good info. Listened to it on audiobook on a faster speed after part way through. Questionable that she's been married 3 times but the info sounds good. "

" This was my first "self help" book and I must admit, I was thoroughly impressed. Do not let the packaging fool you, this is a book about developing one's self NOT a how-to guide for finding a mate "

" I read her HuffPost columns and decided to give the book a try. As it turns out I am not married b/c I am a selfish, shallow bitch. Oh good. The book doesn't offer more, conceptually, than the columns did, so you could save time and money and just read those. "

" This was a quick read and I loved it. The book was straight to the point and held a mirror up to the reader that forces some serious introspection. I would highly recommend this book to any single lady wondering why she hasn't found that special someone yet. "
