About Michael W. Sherer

Michael W. Sherer grew up on a farm in northern Illinois, went to prep school and college “back east,” and lived in Chicago for twenty years. After stints as a manual laborer, dishwasher, bartender, restaurant manager, commercial photographer, magazine editor, and public relations executive, he decided life should imitate art and became a novelist. He is a member of International Thriller Writers, Mystery Writers of America, and the Authors Guild. In addition to Night Blind, the first thriller in the Blake Sanders series, he has published six novels in the Emerson Ward mystery series, as well as a stand-alone suspense novel, Island Life. He lives in the Seattle suburbs with his family.

About Reed McColm

Algis Budrys (1931–2008) was born in Königsberg, East Prussia, where his father served in the Lithuanian diplomatic corps. The family came to the United States when Budrys was five years old. A Renaissance man, he wrote stories and novels, and was an editor, critic, and reviewer, a teacher of aspiring writers, and a publisher. His science fiction novels include Rogue Moon, Hard Landing, Falling Torch, and many others. His Cold War science fiction thriller Who? was adapted for the screen, and he received many award nominations for his work.
