" This is the second of Ellison's books that I have read. I am getting the gist that her storytelling is more about the main character's life than it is about actual crime solving ala Janet Evanovich. The crimes that the books start out with have a really good premise and if she invested more time in fleshing out those parts of the story rather than focusing on the "life" of Taylor Jackson (I think that's her name, unfortunately even after two books I care so little about this character I have a hard time remembering her name even though I just finished this book about a half hour ago), these novels could be really excellent mystery/thrillers. That being said, this is an easy, fast read and I will more likely than not read another because they are a good palate cleanser for in between the more literary works I often read. "
